ART DIRECTION • DESIGN • ANIMATION • PROJECTION MAPPING
An immersive audiovisual journey into the life and inner world of Vincent van Gogh, created for Meet Vincent van Gogh, the Van Gogh Museum’s international touring exhibition.
At its heart, a 180-degree introductory film surrounds the audience, drawing them into Van Gogh’s story — not as spectators, but as witnesses. Images, movement, and sound unfold around the viewer, dissolving the boundary between past and present.
A video-mapping installation brings the artist’s workspace to life, tracing the gestures, rhythms, and repetitions of his creative process. Paintings emerge, fragments assemble, and the act of making becomes visible.
Three large-scale projection environments expand the narrative further, revealing moments from Van Gogh’s early life, his travels, and his gradual awakening as an artist — a story shaped by restlessness, perseverance, and vision.
Together, these installations form a layered, sensory experience that invites audiences to step inside Van Gogh’s world, to feel time, place, and process, and to encounter the artist beyond the canvas.
